Plan your trip with INOUI and OUIGO SNCF Inoui, the SNCF's TGV service, and Ouigo, the SNCF's low-cost train service, give you the choice of organising your rail travel getaway, whatever your destination in France.
However, whether it's a train company or an airline, there are rules to follow. This is what you will discover below, a set of information that will enable you to choose the ideal ouigo cabin baggage or inoui baggage!
I am travelling with INOUI or OUIGO, what baggage is accepted?
You are travelling by TGV with the SNCF, and you would like to know the baggage dimensions authorised by OUIGO and INOUI. Generally speaking, these two rail companies accept most luggage. You can take with you your large size luggage, your suitcases, your travel bags, your scooter or even your musical instruments (violins, guitars, trumpets...)
contrary to the airline companies which have restrictions, as a comparison the suitcase Air France is limited to a weight of 23 kg, for the suitcase EasyJet it is 23 kg, 10 Kg for the suitcase Ryanair (in supplement), 32k for the suitcase Lufthansa, 40 x 30 x 20 cm for a suitcase Transavia, 10 kg for a suitcase cabin Vueling, 23kg for a suitcase Iberia.
However, certain restrictions are indicated by the two airlines, in particular for bicycles which must be equipped with a cover (120x90cm). In addition, it is strictly forbidden to carry dangerous or oversized equipment (household appliances or televisions for example). All luggage over 2 meters or weighing 30 kilos is prohibited.
INOUI and OUIGO companies offer certain baggage options, so it is advisable to know the different sizes of baggage subject to option before taking your ticket.
With INOUI or OUIGO, each passenger has the right to travel with one piece of hand luggage and one piece of cabin luggage (or two pieces of hand luggage) at no extra charge.
For hand luggage, the maximum size allowed is 36x27x15 cm (height x width x depth). For cabin luggage, the maximum size is 55x35x25cm (height x width x depth): please note that handles and wheels are included in these dimensions. Hand luggage and cabin luggage should be placed under your seat during your journey.
The specific spaces at the front of the carriage are for optional luggage. Ouigo luggage, unheard of luggage...
Authorised weight on the train
Whether you are travelling with Ouigo or Inoui, there are no restrictions on the authorised weight of cabin baggage, as you are responsible for its transport, but you should still take care that it does not obstruct traffic with its size.

Luggage subject to option INOUI and OUIGO If your luggage exceeds the dimensions indicated above, then it is necessary to take the luggage option when you make your reservation online or at the station. Special conditions concerning THALYS and EUROSTAR journeys may apply to the dimensions of baggage authorised during your journey. It is therefore useful to check directly with the SNCF for details of the authorised dimensions.
